Greek Dance

Greek Dance

In February 2026, our St. Nicholas Dance Ministry participated in the 49th Annual Greek Orthodox Folk Dance and Choral Festival (FDF) held in Phoenix, Arizona, after a 22+ year hiatus.

We are proud to share that our exhibition group, Andreioi, danced with the Metropolitan, and presented a beautiful suite of dances from Mikri Asia, They are directed by Valerie Kaju.

Our competitive group, Atromitoi, performed two regional suites - one from the island of Naxos and one from Gortynia, Arkadia.

We are honored to share that Atromitoi earned Fourth Place in the Advanced Primary Category and received Best Overall Choral, the sole choral distinction awarded in the category, recognizing the exceptional vocal performance showcased in both of their sets. Atromitoi are directed by Eleni Regakis, Irene Karandinos, George Skordi, and Iason Tsironis.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our dancers, directors, volunteers, and families whose hard work and commitment made this achievement possible.
May God continue to bless our youth as they preserve and celebrate our sacred traditions.

St. Nicholas' Greek Dance group is led by Eleni Regakis.
